Studying Celebrity guitars has shown me just how many variations occurred over the years. I’ve attempted to identify as many as I can with photographic evidence. Whether through necessity or through design there are a lot of subtle differences between the models and between the years of production.
Variation occurred simply depending on who the person was working on the guitar at the time. Someone asked Semie about the unique design of the Mosrite neck and he said, “that depends on who made it at the time”. Builders also had their personal preferences that created variations. These will be discussed in detail on the page that focuses on that particular issue.
Variations also occurred simply from lack of materials or what was available at the time. It was common in this era of manufacture to do whatever it took to get the product out the door.
